Celebrating Our First Annual Event: 19 June 2022
The journey of UGAYI began with a dream, and on 19 June 2022, that dream became a reality. Our first annual event was both exhilarating and daunting, especially for Okuhle Ntloyiya, who had never hosted such a significant show before. The lineup started small, but within just two weeks, poets from across the provinces, particularly the Eastern Cape, expressed their eagerness to participate. Okuhle's mix of happiness and fear transformed into a spectacular event that laid the foundation for UGAYI's future.
